Student Services
Students will receive advice and or counseling on Academic Planning. This includes academic advising, inquiries about additional online course offerings, registration, completion of forms, the purchase of textbooks, and library access. Student services also include Personal Academic issues. In addition, the student will also receive career services assistance, which will consist of identifying opportunities and advising the student on appropriate means of attempting to realize those opportunities.
Academic Advising
Florida Institute of Science and Management provides academic advising by assisting students in attaining their educational goals and fulfilling the institute’s requirements. Students will be provided with advisors and mentors. The advisor will be able to offer a more valuable insight into the student's educational planning by contacting the student and having a greater understanding of the student's expectations and experience.
Academic Counseling
Academic counseling is available to all students during the admission process and throughout the program. Academic counseling is a structured support system that helps students make informed decisions about their education, career, and personal development. It involves guiding students on course selection, academic challenges, career pathways, and personal growth strategies to achieve their goals.
Career Services
The Career services offered at FLISM play a crucial role in guiding students toward successful professional paths by offering job placement assistance, resume building, interview preparation, and networking opportunities. These services connect students with industry leaders. They organize career fairs and provide internship opportunities to enhance practical experience. Personalized career counseling helps students identify their strengths and align them with suitable career choices.
Learning Management System
The LMS at FLISM is a state of art digital platform provided to every learner. Students can view all their details including their ID card, enrollment, classes, fees paid, self-learning material, question bank, practice exams, and final exams. Students can also use features like talking to instructors and submitting assignments and projects. The LMS also provides a feature to request certificates once the selected projects are completed by the learners. The analytics feature shows the trend of marks scored. Learners can enrol in different courses are per their liking and as guided by the instructors and mentors.
Leave of Absence
A student may be granted a leave of absence for a maximum of five days. All requests for a leave of absence must be submitted in writing to the President, specifying the reason for the leave and the expected return date. If the student does not return on said date, their enrollment will be terminated. A refund calculation will be conducted according to the institute's Cancellation & Refund Policy.
