Online Delivery
The Florida Institute of Science and Management’s online term may go up to 16 weeks. It encompasses multiple hours of asynchronous instruction per week over the Internet through discussions, assignments, assigned readings, and projects.
Technology Requirements
Once a student is registered, their only necessary equipment is a personal computer with internet access. The student can access the eLearning platform from anywhere in the world. Each student is provided with a username and password allowing them to reach their page within the Learning Management System.
The online platform allows the learners to interact with the instructors and the learning community. It is important to outline the following criteria:
- The instructors can easily use online technology to teach and help learners.
- The learner gets flexibility in distance and time. They can plan and organize learning plans for the subject.
- The online process opens many avenues for study, with self-study taking an enhanced role.
- Learners can have interactions with the instructors and the rest of the students through forums, chats, web conferencing, and such.
- The students follow the course agenda guided by the instructors. They are also accountable for their assignments and project submissions.
Our Learning Management System

Course Content
As soon as the learners log in to their LMS, they can view different programs that they have registered for. This Dashboard will also show the percentage of the completed and pending programs. The main one they will use is the documents & links tab which contains their downloadable syllabus, lectures, video recordings of the live sessions, and any other relevant learning materials.
The learners will follow the curriculum to organize their weekly studies and will use the submissions tab to submit assignments, and projects, review deadlines, download exams, submit homework, case studies, or projects, and upload their work.
If any learner has a query, he or she can directly contact the instructor through the Talk to Instructor tab. The instructor can also guide the learners through the Talk to Learners tab.
Learners can attempt quizzes after each topic, and practice tests before they go for their final assessments. Get all the questions in one place in the Question Banks section.

Evaluations
The use of forums, chats, and other communication tools allows instructors to provide continuing evaluation and feedback to the learners as they prepare their formal evaluations.
Formal evaluations are implemented using assignments, projects, quizzes and assessments. For assignments and projects, the student submits a text file; the instructor corrects it, gives feedback, and assigns a grade. Quizzes and assessments are corrected automatically, and the grading is instantaneous.
All exams are administered through our password-protected online platform. Learners are expected to adhere to the timeline and retake policies provided by the instructor in the curriculum. Any retakes are at the discretion of the instructors and professors.
Faculty members will have access online to post assignments and exams. They will have 48 hours to post grades for assignments during the term and 5 days to post grades for finals electronically.
Response Time
When a learner sends a message with a question or posts a message in a forum, the instructor is expected to respond within 24 hours during weekdays and weekends. Response time for evaluations that require the instructor’s review, grading, and feedback will be 48 hours during weekdays and weekends.
Online Communication
The online learners must communicate with their instructors frequently. Students with questions can use the Talk to Instructor feature on the LMS to ask any questions they may have. They may request additional chat sessions to clarify information. The instructor will schedule a time to meet with the student. Students should expect that each communication will be followed up with a written summary of the discussion generated by the instructor.
Attendance and Class Schedule
Online Campus
The University is in session throughout the year, except for the holidays listed in the Calendar section. Delivery of classes will be asynchronous through The Florida Institute of Science and Management’s Learning Management System (LMS). Learners will be required to participate in chats and discussions every week prepared by their instructors. Attendance is mandatory and learners are expected to log in to their classes to be considered in attendance. Special instructional activities may be scheduled at specific times convenient to both students and faculty members. Learners who do not regularly attend any of their registered classes during the term may be administratively withdrawn from the institute and placed on probation or dismissed.
